Welcome to Blackpool
Known as the entertainment capital of the UK, Blackpool certainly delivers on its promises. The town is essentially a collection of theme parks, show venues, shopping spots and active pursuits. From the iconic Blackpool Tower entertainment complex to the funfair piers (with rides and roller-coasters) and cabaret shows to opera at the Winter Gardens, the city will keep visitors of all ages and interests happily occupied for days on end
A MUST VISIT...
Blackpool Tower
Blackpool’s answer to the Eiffel Tower, Blackpool Tower is an entertainment complex all in itself. Visit the ballroom and waltz to the sounds of Wurlitzer organ, enjoy an afternoon tea, explore the eerie dungeon and walk on air at the amazing SkyWalk at the tower's very top.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Heralded as the roller coaster capital of the UK, Pleasure Beach is a family-friendly entertainment venue where exhilarating thrill rides that take one's breath away mingle with attractions for the younger guests. Iconic shows are hosted here, too. A Must visit!
FUN & THRILLS
Sealife
Visit the Sealife Centre and find out about the fascinating world of fish. This is a thrill for both adults and children. See everything from small seahorses and starfish to sharks and stingrays. Do not miss the shark tunnel and a pool where visitors are allowed to physically touch marine creatures.
Blackpool's Piers
The Piers are a testament to Blackpool’s Victorian heritage. All three piers (Central, North and South) are pleasure palaces with different things happening - the Central Pier is the liveliest one teeming with attractions and eateries, while the Southern is closest to amusement rides.
Sandcastle Waterpark
Have a splashing day in this indoor water park where the weather is always sunny. Sandcastle Waterpark is UK's largest indoor water park, and a true favourite among children with its over 18 rides, wave machines and different fun pools. Opening hours vary by date (consult the website for details).
BARS & NIGHTLIFE
Upholding its reputation as the nightlife capital of the North, Blackpool is home to some of the liveliest bars and hottest clubs in the country. Those with refined tastes will most likely enjoy ballroom dancing at the Blackpool Tower or attending one of the evening shows put on at the Winter Gardens (and other city venues).
The Beach House
In the heart of it all and yet with a very private feel to it, the Beach House is an elegant day- and nighttime venue equally fit for a lunch break and evening drinks. Housed inside a modern waterfront building, the establishment boasts an extensive list of cocktails and elevated snack foods.
Abingdon Street Market, Blackpool
We are a food hall serving street food from six local independent businesses, alongside a coffee shop, a cocktail bar and a craft beer lovers bar. This is the place for fussy eaters, those you can't decide what to eat, meat eaters, vegans and everyone in between.
Revolution Bar
Revolution is a relaxed day- and nighttime venue that serves a variety of drinks and decent food. Service quality is taken seriously here - if waiters fail to serve you lunch within 15 minutes after you've placed an order, the food will be complimentary. Popular for hen and stag parties.
